Micromax A89 Ninja 4-inch Low Cost Dual Core Smartphone Priced At Rs 6,160

After announcing his All new MMX Canvas HD ( Not launched in the Market till yet ) , Micromax launched his another dual core smartphone with a 4-inch capacitive display named as Micromax A89 Ninja . This is the first Dual core handset having such a low price tag I believe . This smartphone is available on various online stores like flipkart ,infibeam etc at a price of Rs 6,190 . Definitely Karbonn has to do something ,since Karbonn A15 ( launched some days back ) is running on Single Core processor priced around Rs 6, 000  and now we have a Dual core handset at same cost . Let’ move to the specifications of the handset .

MMX A89  sports a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display having a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels which is pretty good on a 4-inch display . It also support multi-touch feature but only 2 touch points are supported . So overall a good clear display is there on the handset .

 

CPU and Operating System :

This handset is powered with a 1 Ghz Dual core Mediatek processor ( same as on MMX Canvas 2 ) paired with a 512 MB of RAM ( out of which approx 230 MB will be free ) , which is a good combination for moderate usage . There may be some lags if you have installed so many apps and running multiple apps in background . So to have a better performance ,Kill all the unnecessary tasks . I believe if you will not feel any lag untill you have installed heavy apps and games on the device  . A89 is running on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS which is not the latest one but this version also having a good user experience , supporting almost all apps and games .

 

Memory and Camera :

Micromax A89 has an internal memory of 4 GB out of which 2.2 GB is available for users for saving personal data and stuffs and also you can increase it to 32 GB via micro SD card . So you can easily handle all your data with your device . Handset is featured with a 3 MP rear facing camera which is little disappointing as you can’t record 720 p video with the handset but can capture good quality photographs . One more thing there is no front facing camera ,so you can’t make video calls too . So this will be little disappointing thing . Moving On …

It support various connectivity like Wi-Fi ,Bluetooth ,GPS , 3G ,2G ,GPRS etc connectivity . It also supports DUAL SIM , so you can use 2 SIM cards on this device with stand-by .
